Join the ministry team at Camp Merrill for Summer 2012

Paid and volunteer positions are available

Volunteer positions:  Program staff serve as cabin/group leaders for individual summer camps

Paid positions:  A few positions available combine program staff opportunities as well as paid responsibilities.

ALL staff positions are engaged in servant-ministry:  enabling campers to experience a place of Christ-centered discovery, growth and renewal.

                    Each staff position also has a specific area of responsibility:

Lifeguard - 2 positions

Serves as lifeguard at the pool during its use.  Also cleans and maintains the pool area and bathhouse.  Dishwashing, cleaning, and other tasks are assigned when the pool is not in use.

Wrangler; Assistant Wrangler

Responsible for the horses and trail riding activities.  Also maintains fences as well as tack and other equipment used by this program.  Dishwashing, cleaning, and other tasks are assigned during non-riding times.

Kitchen Aide/Dining Room Host

Assists the cooking staff in preparing and serving food to campers and staff.  Serves as  a dining room host to guests; oversees duties involved in closing the kitchen and dining hall for the day.  Also assists with cleaning, dishwashing, and other tasks.

Snack Shack/Photographer

Responsible for taking photographs and creating/distributing the camper directory for the camp week.  Operates the Snack Shack, stocks the soda pop and snack items, and delivers campers' mail.  Dishwashing, cleaning, and other tasks are also included.

Crafts Assistant - May work with three-day and day camp campers

Plans and supervises arts and crafts activities for campers during the camp week.  Maintains supply of art and craft supplies.  Also assists with cleaning, dishwashing, and other tasks.

Activities Assistant - May work with three-day and day camp campers

Assists with recreation activities.  Plans and leads activities for groups of campers.  Maintains recreational equipment; provides equipment to camp coordinators as requested.  Also assists with cleaning, dishwashing, and other tasks.

Building and Grounds Assistant

Responsible for lawn mowing, trimming, and other grounds-keeping duties, building maintenance and equipment maintenance.  Also responsible for campfire areas.  Cleaning, dishwashing, and other tasks are also included.

Moses Merrill Camp & Conference Center is looking for Christian individuals with a desire to serve the Lord in camping ministry.  We seek self-starters who are organized and can relate to peer groups.  Good character, integrity, and adaptability are desired in staff members.

ALL SUMMER RESIDENT STAFF POSITIONS INCLUDE SALARY PLUS ROOM AND BOARD FOR THE TIME OF EMPLOYMENT
