Back                    Map of Trails

Welcome to Our Camp!

Camp Moses Merrill consists of 568 acres which includes approximately 6 miles of horse riding trails and 8 miles of walking trails.  Hikers are welcome to use all trails but you need to know that there may be horse riders also using the trail.  Horse riders are asked to stay on the outlying trails and not to ride in the cabin area, the valley area and RV areas; therefore walkers are encouraged to use these trails.

The terrain of Camp Moses Merrill is very hilly, some hills are very steep, we encourage you to find a good walking stick.  It is surprising how much better three legs work than just two.

TOILETS:  There is a port-a-potty on Fremont Hill.  A bathhouse is available in the RV Loop (closed November1 to April 1) and there are flush toilets in the Visitor's Center.

FEES: A Day Fee of $5.00 per person per day entitles you to enjoy the use of our facility from sun-up to sun-down.  To stay overnight you need to pay the additional fee for tenting or parking a RV.

During the months of June, July, and August, youth camps are held on the grounds so we ask you to respect teh campers' rights to the trails and valley area and to privacy in the Cabin area.  Also, please respect the rights of other groups using the camp facilities.

To make usage of Camp Merrill more enjoyable for all, We ask you to Please...
